Imagine what can happen in the blink of an eye. A bubble pops, a wasp beats its tiny wings, a glass smashes. Questacon, the National Science and Technology Centre, is looking for ideas like these to capture with their amazing high-speed cameras!

Want to see what videos have been produced so far? Visit the Science in Slow Motion playlist on YouTube for inspiration.

Ideas entered into the competition should be new and exciting! However, they also need to be practical, not too dangerous, and able to be filmed in Canberra.

Send us your idea, and an explanation of the science behind it, in 100 words or less to sciencemail@csiro.au. You’ll also need to include your full name and email address. Young readers under 18 years of age need a parent or guardian’s permission to enter.

The best idea will win an IQ Key Perfect 550 engineering kit! If the winner can make it to Canberra, they can also see their video being filmed. View the other terms and conditions.
