The Engineering Link Group takes the safety of our staff, volunteers and students very seriously.
TELG is following advice from the Australian Government Department of Health and Queensland Health, which is regularly updated.
TELG has developed a COVID-19 action plan which is also regularly reviewed.
We are working with our university partners to ensure the health and safety our all participants. You can view the individual university’s plans by clicking on each link below:
What is TELG doing?
- TELG will regularly ensure that equipment is cleaned after each activity
- Students will be encouraged to socially distance and all adults will maintain social distance at all times.
- Groups and activities will have numbers limited to the capacity of the rooms in which they are being conducted.
- Provide hand-sanitiser and encourage its use at all times.
- Regularly remind all participants of good hygiene practices (regular hand-washing, covering mouth when sneezing/coughing, avoiding touching face/eyes etc).
What if I am sick?
If you are due to attend a workshop and you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, then please DO NOT attend the ELP. Please contact TELG staff. All participants who are unable to attend due to feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms will receive a full refund within 14 days of TELG receiving an email with information about a positive test/requirement to isolate.
What if the event is cancelled?
If the event is cancelled due to the government or our hosts increasing the restrictions to the point where we are unable to continue, all registered and financial participants will receive a refund in full within 14 days of the notification of the event being cancelled.
If you have any questions, please contact TELG.
