     8:45 am - 3:30 pm

Proudly hosted by CQ University, this is our twenty-first year in Rockhampton. The 2021 Engineering Link Project will revert to our two-day model.

Year 10, 11 and 12 students will participate in one full-day and two half-day workshops in different engineering disciplines. Each workshop is designed to challenge your creativity, your knowledge of the maths and science you are learning at school, and introduce you to the engineering paradigm.

A professional engineer will outline their career and what a day in the life of an engineer is, then present you with a problem or scenario that you will have to solve in teams. You will test materials, complete design calculations, and submit a proposal. If approved, you will construction your solution. The engineer will evaluate each solution against the criteria and declare the winning team.

Each day, students will experience CQU Engineering, working in their labs, and getting a real feel for university life.  This is worth the price of admission on its own.
