Hear from the Winner

The 2023 winner of the Spaghetti Bridge Competition, Jamieson, received his winner’s cheque from James Ward, Director (Structures Management), Infrastructure Management and Delivery, Department of Transport and Main Roads recently. We had the opportunity to interview Jamieson and he was very happy to share with us how he found out about the competition, how he designed his winning bridge and what he’s learned about bridges and engineering in general from participating in the Spaghetti Bridge Competition.

The 2024 competition will commence in February, with testing in August. We look forward to welcoming all comers – can you beat Jamieson’s record?
