Opportunity for Girls in Central Queensland
Dream Big Project – Wednesday 18th February 2015
An initiative by a group of dedicated engineers and in partnership with CQUniversity (Rockhampton Campus), girls in Years 10, 11 and 12 are invited to attend the Dream Big Project.
“The Dream Big Event signifies a movement for gender equality in engineering, but it also represents the opportunity for school students to work with industry representatives and CQUniversity Engineering Staff and Students. The Dream Big Project was created to raise an awareness of the career opportunities in engineering, promote the involvement of women in engineering in a male dominated industry, and ultimately inspire the next generation of female engineers to Dream Big.
The ‘girls only day’ will help give the girls confidence in completing technical design projects such as Robot C Programming and 3D Printing, whilst receiving a one-on-one experience with current engineering students and engineers from the industry.”
