Queensland Bridge Competition – Results Announced!
Another highly successful Queensland Bridge Competition is over for 2024, and we are very excited to announce the prize-winning teams and schools.
After another successful teacher webinar in April, 59 schools expressed interest in participating in this year’s competition.
Tests were conducted in many different locations across Queensland, and 75 teams put their hours of work on the line to see if their bridge could take the highest load.
2024 Queensland Bridge Competition Prize Winners!
First Place: The Lakes College “Bridge R Us” – 17.84 kg – $750
Second Place: Cannon Hill Anglican College “Stroganoff” – 16.02 kg – $450
Third Place: Burdekin Catholic High School “Sydney Harbour Bridge” – 14.84 kg – $300
Location Prizes: ($100 each)
Brisbane – Citipoint Christian College “CCC STEM”
North Brisbane – Hinterland Learning “Mario & Luigi”
Townsville – Burdekin Catholic High School “Brooklyn Bridge”
Rockhampton – Heights College “Where’s the Meatballs?”
Logan – Marsden State High School “Pepsi Max”
