Spaghetti Bridge Competition 2019
The competition is back for 2019! Thanks to our corporate sponsors – the Department of Transport and Main Roads and Engineers Australia (Queensland Division), we are very pleased to offer schools in Queensland the chance to win a share of $2000 in prizemoney, as well as the opportunity to explore STEM through a fun and engaging competition.
Teams are challenged to build the strongest bridge weighing no more than 300 g (including a load plate, provided for free), constructed with only store-bought spaghetti and glue and to span a gap of at least 35 cm.

Free PD for teachers – hear from civil engineers about bridge design and receive hints and tips on running the competition in your school. But hurry – the workshop is coming up soon!
