Thiess 2017 Apprenticeships Program Open
Thiess’ has recently opened its 2017 Apprenticeship Intake. Information about the Program and application process is available on the Thiess website here.
Briefly, working with experienced colleagues at various Thiess projects, their four year structured Apprenticeship Program will offer students the chance to participate in training towards a nationally recognised trade qualification.
You will need to be self-motivated, conscientious and committed to developing a career for yourself in the resources industry. A mature attitude is essential and you must be willing to learn new skills and accept direction.
Thiess Apprentices have all of their college fees and associated costs covered by Thiess and are supplied with full PPE and a uniform.
Please note that at this time we are only looking for candidates who are not already completing an apprenticeship.
To be eligible to apply:
- Students need to have completed year 12 as of 01 January 2017 with passes in English and Mathematics (this is not a requirement for mature age (over 21) applicants)
- Students should have a current driver’s licence (a provisional licence is accepted)
- Be able to relocate to the mine site area if not currently living locally
- Be willing to relocate to another Thiess site if requirements at current site change. Please note, this move may be interstate.
