World Science Festival Brisbane – Opportunity to Meet Sylvia Earle and Andy Thomas

As a school or individual subscriber to our blog, I would like to advise you of a unique and fantastic opportunity to meet and talk to two of the world’s leading scientists as part of the World Science Festival.  This is the first time that this amazing festival of all things Science will be held in Brisbane.

The World Science Festival Brisbane would like to invite students to attend and participate in the Pioneers in Science program.  In the 2 x 60 minute programs, the Pioneer will give a short presentation, then participate in a Q & A with students.

By registering with Queensland Museum (the hosts of the Festival), schools will receive a curriculum-relevant work package, which will allow participating students to immerse themselves in the life and career of the Pioneer, and lead them to develop one question which they submit to QM.  Up to 10 questions will be selected and the question’s author will be able to ask the Pioneer personally.

Questions will need to be submitted by Friday 12th February.

This opportunity is open to students from Years 9 to 12.
